Great series! wish that the english dubbed anime went on longer with funimation and that the DVD's were available. But regarding the description, Luffy is his first name, Monkey is the family surname. This goes for the other characters as well. Roronora Zoro's first name is Zoro, etc.
Whenever I bring home One Piece, my sister and I alwaus read them together! We love this series!!!
