I didn't like this book. Wouldn't recommend. It's all a love story kind of.

this book is so interesting i could barley put it down. The main girl's tragedy really tries to overcome her life, but you could almost hear her strength in the book.
loved it <3

Counting Back From Nine is a great book about a girl trying to cope with a tragedy that has struck her family. Throughout the book she figures out who she can rely on and who's worth her worry.

An easy book to finish with a confusing story line and quite hard to follow. It was written in a unique way, different from most books. The chronological order of events were written in reverse.

This book was a very quick read and interesting to read.It was written a very different format than most other books.
The author did a great job of making a teenaged girl feel like she could relate to the main character.

This book is a very quick read. I found it that it didn't take much to lose interest. It definitely is a girl book, and I would recomend it for non-reader girls.

A very short book with a few odd parts that are hard to follow. It's mostly 'diary entry' type styles. It's not the most interesting book, but gets better towards the end. I would it recommend for a non reader. To follow the story line you really have to pay close attention. Happy reading!

A very quick read. a good story line, but hard to follow at times. Written in a different style than most books, and can be hard to get used to. More of a girly book. I would recommend to girls only.

Enjoyed this book, quick and easy to read since its written in free verse. Laren has a good story to tell about growing up and realizing what's important. Excellent choice for any young girl and a Forest of Reading title as well.

This is a great choice for April, a novel written in poetry. Laren (pronounced like Karen) has a secret, and not a good one. Her new boyfriend is her best friend's ex-boyfriend. And what happens when her friends find out is something she isn't ready for. But Laren finds that there are much more difficult things to deal with in her immediate future, and she isn't ready for them either.
As Laren works through these issues, she finds herself wondering about her own actions, and about those close to her. Why has her younger brother suddenly taken up vegetarianism? Why is her mother busy redecorating everything? What does being a friend mean?
I really liked the way each poem dealt with an issue in a unique way, and fit so well together as a whole. This is a very cool book.
