Tom Parking's dream of being the Chosen One of a magical land come true one day...and turns out to totally suck. The magical kingdom he's supposed to save is depressing, gross and doesn't even want him. What will Tom do? I found this book funny and full of realistic awkwardness, but the ending was way too neat for me. It felt rushed.

It's okay, I guess... I didn't like when his friend took over, though. Isn't it supposed to be his story?

It's nice to read a YA novel that doesn't follow the formula. Crap Kingdom is purely comedic and reminds me of something I'd like to write myself, (but, you know, better).
