Add a CommentOne of the best books ever, like the first book it took my breath away and I couldn't put it down. The only negative thing in the entire book would be that the romance between Jack and Nikki is not very good (though she never wavers despite Cole) and I found myself liking Cole a lot but reminding myself how much I hated him a year ago when I read Everneath. But the book itself is a must read and I'm pretty sure anyone who has read the first book has no choice but to read this.
The beginning of the book wasn't that interesting, but as the story goes on, I found it very captivating. Even though Cole kind of destroyed Nikki's trust in the end, I still ship Cole and Nikki! <3
Lots more action than the first book (which I found a little overwrought, but still enjoyed). I actually started to like Cole a little bit in this one, until his stunning betrayal at the end. I don't know if I remembered all the rules of the Everneath, but clearly, Nik didn't. Can't wait for the next one.
