"Kami Glass is in love with someone she's never met--a boy she's talked to in her head since she was born. This has made her an outsider in the sleepy English town of Sorry-in-the-Vale, but she has learned ways to turn that to her advantage. Her life seems to be in order, until disturbing events begin to occur. There has been screaming in the woods and the manor overlooking the town has lit up for the first time in 10 years. The Lynburn family, who ruled the town a generation ago and who all left without warning, have returned. Now Kami can see that the town she has known and loved all her life is hiding a multitude of secrets--and a murderer. The key to it all just might be the boy in her head. The boy she thought was imaginary is real, and definitely and deliciously dangerous"--

I lost a complete night of sleep because I enjoyed reading this so much, almost peed my pants various times while reading this thing - and the cliff hanger at the end almost slayed me (NOOOO). As others have said, can't wait for the next one....

very mysterious. cliff-hanger at the end. when does the next book come out?

Probably one of the best books I've ever read. The main character is funny and smart and the dialogue is a bit unusual which makes it even more better. And the ending oh my goodness the ending. It's a fantastic book :D

I only read books that interest me, I have ADHD and you can be sure every book I've read interested me to a high degree (seeing as I'm incapable of reading books that disinterest me); however, there are true gems in my collection of read precious stones and this book is most definitely one of them. I only buy books that I truly adore and I am going to buy this one. The wit, the easy humour, the suspense, and how easily you fall in love with her characters; Sarah Rees Brennan has written one of the best YA books I've read in quite a while. Ignore comments like "This is horrible!" without evidence of said horribleness said comments cannot be trusted. Happy reading!

The ENDING!! Oh my GOD!! I want - no, neeeeed - to know what happens next!! What a captivating book, with some great characters and the relationship between Jared and Kammi was SO GOOD because it was nothing like your typical romance. It was so confusing and complicated and interesting. And I cannot wait for the sequel.

Really enjoyed this book. Cant wait for the next one

Kami Glass lives in Sorry-in-the-Vales. It's a quiet English town. She writes for her school newspaper with her friend Angela. Since the day she was born she talks to her "imaginary" friend Jared who she confines to with all her secrets. Suddenly the Lynburn family returns to Sorry-in-the-Vales. The mysterious family practically owns the town. Kami start researching the Lynburns and their return. One of the boys that lives there named Ash volunteers for the newspaper to take pictures and Kami and Ash hit it off. She interviews/talks to Ash to get info off of him. She researches into the Lynburns more and one day the the Lynburn boy appears. Kami, trying to get on elevator meets him. His name is Jared. She tries interviewing him but he discards her. In her head she starts talking to Jared and soon connects the dots that this Jared is the same Jared in her head. She rushes off the elevator right when he grabs her. They have a over powering connection and run away from each other. Later on Kami gets pushed into a well on her way. The connection she has with Jared saves her with Jared rushing to her rescue. Soon they realize some is out to kill Kami and Jared glues him self to her side. They dig deeper into the Lynburns. Kami soon realizes that her mom is hiding something about her and the lynburns. The rest you read on your own cause I really getting tired of typing also this might have some grammar and spelling issues. :D
