"Kami Glass is in love with someone she's never met--a boy she's talked to in her head since she was born. This has made her an outsider in the sleepy English town of Sorry-in-the-Vale, but she has learned ways to turn that to her advantage. Her life seems to be in order, until disturbing events begin to occur. There has been screaming in the woods and the manor overlooking the town has lit up for the first time in 10 years. The Lynburn family, who ruled the town a generation ago and who all left without warning, have returned. Now Kami can see that the town she has known and loved all her life is hiding a multitude of secrets--and a murderer. The key to it all just might be the boy in her head. The boy she thought was imaginary is real, and definitely and deliciously dangerous"--

I liked it but i don't understand why Jared had to be such a jerk to her at the end. Not cool.

This book was so completely engaging! I couldn't stand to put it down, and so I ended up reading the entire thing in one night. I was surprised to find that it was much more emotionally complex than I have come to expect, as well as much more snarky banter that helped lighten up the story. It's also perfectly set up for the next book--how is the author going to fix that maddening ending? Unspoken started to remind me a little too much of Beautiful Creatures, but other than that it was an amazing story!

This book was SO SO funny. Like completely different than I was expecting. I loved the characters, and yay diversity, and YAY girl friends who aren't catty and awful and YAY EVERYTHING IN THIS BOOK. I think what I love most about this story, and honestly that's saying something because I am so FULL OF LOVE about everything to do with this book, is that it follows the story of what you'd expect a paranormal YA book to be, but the characters are what separates it. Kami's got this awesome/weird mental/emotional bond with Jared. But instead of making them have an instalove situation (as is expected in paranormal YA as far as I can tell), it makes things awkward. Seriously, you have to read this. I mean it. There is not a single reason for you not to read this. I honestly think this might be my favourite read of the whole year. I don't think it's possible for me to read a book better than this one. IT IS SO FREAKING GOOD!!! For the full review, head to my blog at OboeChica Books (so long and thanks for all the fish).

I liked this book. It was interesting and kept you enthralled the entire time. I didn't like how it ended and I'm hoping the next one will fix what happened.

This book can only be described as 'meh.' It had okay plot, characterization, style, etc. but I was not motivated enough to read to the end. One of the few books I ever gave up on.

"Forest deep, silent bells
There's a secret no one tells
Valley quiet, water still
Lynburns watching on the hill
Apples red, corn gold
Almost everyone grows old."
