Honestly, I did enjoy it. But at the same time I was really hoping for some more stuff with Thomas and Minho. This book was the basis of the whole idea of WICKED I think. It tells you how it got started and about Teresa's (or Dede's) background. You do get attached to Mark and all but its not the same. I do like the ending though, Its sad but still good at the same time.

It wasn't a bad book. I really thought we would learn more about the pcc, pfc, or wicked but it was interesting to learn more about Teresa and thomas. For maze runner fans it is a must to read.

Awesome!!! I'm pretty sure(spoilers) Deedee was Theresa! It wasn't what I expected it to be, but it was a prequel all the same

This book completely shattered my heart. I was looking forward to reading this book, and eager to have more knowledge of how Wicked came to be, only to be filled with sheer disappointment. This novel was completely unnecessary, and the information found in this book could have easily been fit into the other Maze Runner series. This book was basically a failure attempt to create a story full of action. Literally almost this whole book is made up of fist fights between the main characters, and the early showing symptom cranks. This book wasn’t all bad though, as always James Dashner ends, and starts his books in the most perfect way. The epilogue in this book makes mention of a couple of the previous characters in the series, but other than that the characters in this novel are all different. The relationship between Mark and Alec in this book was enjoyable. In a world full of chaos, it was nice to see a relationship similar to that of a grandson and a grandfather. That was the key factor that made these characters likeable.

I liked most of the series. The Kill Order was ok

It had a slow start but a great finish. Makes me wish that there were more books to this series. At least ten.

Violence: A lot of Violence. But you can`t write a book about the end of the world without Violence.
