This book has a highly original plot and characters that make you laugh from the beginning, I have to give Sarah Cross that. And that is where my 'likes' of this book end. This novel tries to loudly proclaim a feminist narrator - choosing to fight with her fairy tale curse while being sucked into a relationship with a guy that treats her like a puppy and buys her everything. It sets the feminist movement back about 40 years, and the whole touching at her legs without consent? Yuck. A good idea in theory, but executed poorly.

I LOVED this book! I really liked how Cross incorporated fairy tales (REAL fairy tales, not the sugar-coated ones from Disney) into a book, and made it seem realistic enough. While I was reading this book I actually discovered a lot about the fairy tales I thought I was familiar with. I recommend this book to any die-hard fairy tale lover, and even if you aren't, you should read this book!!!

Stunning book with the Grimm fairy tales. I found it to be quite a page-turner that didn't leave me disappointed. A mysterious, lovely plot with realistic characters-even if incarnates of fairy tales.

I LOVE This Book... It Has A Mixture Of Fantasy, Fairy Tale, Reality, Humor, And Romance All At Once. I Love How Every Detail In The Book Came Together Like A Puzzle. There Were Many Secrets In This Book That Kept Me Eager to Read More Out Of Curiosity. Its Also Sort Of Mysterious At The Same Time. But Its A Great Book And I Highly Recommend It to Anyone Who Loves Fantasy And Fair Tale Books. :)

This is a stunner! Way beyond fractured fairy tales, this is fairy tales in real life. What if every fairy tale (the original Grimm ones...not the nice Disney versions) was real, and what if they were in an endless loop, adjusting themselves to fit with modern times? Well, it would be crazy. But Sarah Cross makes it believable and weaves us a fantastic story of fairy tales come to life. I loved Blue, and although I couldn't always believe his selflessness, I did love trying to guess his fairy tale until the end! The only disappointment for this book is actually a bit of a spoiler, although anyone who reads it will quickly figure out what I mean! But all in all, Sarah Cross has me sold on her version of fairy tales evolved, and I will be sure to pick up anything else she writes. A quick note - not for younger teens! This book gets a little steamy, and while it's not graphic and doesn't go that far....still. Made me blush a couple times.

If you like fairytales then this book is for you! Fairy Tales we all grew up with in one small town but with a twist! Read to find out what happens to Mira, a unknown princess who hopes to find out her parents.

Other: Rape culture - a boy touches at a girls legs and calls her sexy after she tells him to touch her. A girl is also kissed on various parts of her body without consent.
