Zombie post-apocalyptic y/a meh.

a interesting book but i almost think it should be an adult book because of how graphic it gets when it describes the dead old man in a lake of blood and also when it describes the ravens and also when it describes the kid eating the insides of a old lady. i think those parts should be for an adult or an older teen

Was a really good book to start, but then it sort of dragged on toward the end, and I lost interest

Wow, just wow. This is so amazing. I sucked me right in and made my mind spin with so many questions. There are twists and turns and loss and pain and love, and just so much all tied into one thing. Ashes is enthralling and such a great read

there were some rly creepy and disgusting parts, like when a couple "changed" girls and boys ate out the insides of a dead old lady..

Thoroughly enjoyed this oh-so-creepy novel. The challenge in writing yet another zombie novel is being unique in your approach - cause zombies don't change. Ilsa does this beautifully. I love surprise endings!

definitely one of the better dystopian novels I have read recently. portrays a very strong female main character- which I like, even if the background plot seems a bit farfetched (nuclear explosion creating mutations/ new found powers?) one thing I don't like is the romantic development though; I think the book would be much better without it.

Great concept that falls a bit flat towards the end. A touch slow getting into but the story does take off as the main character does in order not to get eaten by the "Zapped-Kids". However it falls short as it reached the town of RULE. Yet the last two pages may cause your jaw to drop and hit the floor. Not the best Zombie Dystopia fic but not the worst either

“Why can't you like me?" he said, his voice breaking. His scent steamed then, hot and heady with a welter of contradictions: apples and fire and electric roil of those cold, black shadows. "Why can't you like me just a little?" She would never know how she might have answered, because he never gave her the chance. Instead, he kissed her.”
