Add a Commenti love Penman, she is one of my all time fave historical authours. Her characters are rich and you feel like she knew each character and was there during the events. I cannot wait for the next one in the series. My all time favourite by her is When Christ and His Saints Slept.
Another solid read by Penman. Her research is impeccable, as always, and her take on some of the events is interesting. Maybe she didn't bring this Richard to life as well as she did Richard III, but still a good read.
